When I started out in beauty it was exciting because there are so many avenues you can go down and specialise in. Like many careers, you are often caught off guard with what you do enjoy once you gain experience. I am quite creative, so I discovered I love doing nail art and lashes.

I’m the newest member of the team and have been with Julia and the One Lounge girls since September last year. I qualified in HND beauty therapy in May of that year. It was something I never thought I’d be able to do, being a single mum and college full time was a hectic 3 years but I got there and was over the moon to have been given the opportunity to work in such a great salon with the nicest group of girls and the best boss.
Re-opening update
Following the recent announcement from Nicola Sturgeon on our re-opening, at this stage we can announce Lorna will be taking bookings from the 15th of July. Please note if you already had an appointment booked beyond this date it still stands and you do not need to re-book.
