Our Jackie's One Lounge story
I used to be a nurse until l stopped to have my family. I love to help people so l decided to re train as a holistic therapist.
I am a fully trained aromatherapist, reflexologist, reiki master and crystal healer.
We lived in HK for many years where l worked in a clinic treating clients, and ran my own Reiki and crystal Healing courses in HK and Beijing. When we moved back to Scotland Julia contacted me and l started working at the amazing One Lounge.
I have over 20 years experience of being a Holistic Therapist, and over 30years of using Reiki and crystals.
I love what l do and love to see how clients feel after their treatment.
Hopefully it will not be too long before we can see you again.
Our Cat's One Lounge story
I have been in the beauty industry for 14 years and have been with Julia at the one lounge nearly 4 years, and Iwouldn't want to work anywhere else; best boss in Julia, best work mates and amazing clients.
I am a full time mum of 3 boys and often get referred to as (superwomen) 😊 I love my life, job and I'm always on the go.
I love all aspects of my work, and think I'm a true perfectionist. My favourite treatments are hd brows, brow lamination, calgel nail extensions, hair and make up, glamming you ladies up for that special occasion. I also enjoy massage, especially hydrotherm massage, Its such a lovely experience to share with all you mums to be.
I also enjoy waxing and have updated my skills using lycon wax, which is the BEST system.
Julia has also enabled me to qualify in derma stamping and advanced electrolysis. Cant wait to continue my journey and really looking forward to seeing you all very soon.
Our Clare's One Lounge story
When I started out in beauty it was exciting because there are so many avenues you can go down and specialise in. Like many careers, you are often caught off guard with what you do enjoy once you gain experience. I am quite creative, so I discovered I love doing nail art and lashes.
I surprised myself with how much I enjoy intimate waxing with the Lycon hot wax as well, it’s not necessarily a creative treatment, but the training we received for this from Lycon was just incredible and I love how much more gentle it is an experience for clients than any other wax I have ever used or experienced. 
I also love doing pedicures because clients enjoy them so much and as a self proclaimed spray tanning addict, I love doing these and giving people a lovely glow.
I love our pro skin 60 facials because they are so relaxing for the client, but also beneficial for your skin at the same time. I’ve gained my Dermalogica expert status which was great. 
So basically I love anything creative or anything which gives people a boost & makes people feel good about themselves either aesthetically or mentally.
Our Cheryl's One Lounge story
I’m the newest member of the team and have been with Julia and the One Lounge girls since September last year. I qualified in HND beauty therapy in May of that year. It was something I never thought I’d be able to do, being a single mum and college full time was a hectic 3 years but I got there and was over the moon to have been given the opportunity to work in such a great salon with the nicest group of girls and the best boss.
Since starting in the One Lounge, Julia has given me the opportunity to further my training and do courses with Dermalogica and I’m now on my way to expert status. I’ve also had the chance to do training in Derma Stamping and in house training with Julia and the girls. I've learned so much from new massage techniques to the Calgel nail processes and lots of things in between.
I love doing all treatments, but I particularly enjoy doing massage, helping to relax clients or working over those aches and pains. I also love doing nails; I like the chance to get creative and seeing the wee boost of confidence a fresh set of gel nails gives to clients is the nicest feeling.
I’ve loved getting to know all the clients over the past 6 months and I know there’s still lots of you I’m yet to meet, so I’m super excited to get back to the salon asap and see all the team and clients again and be back doing what I really love. xx

I have been with Julia for almost 4 years. I have loved every second of working at The One Lounge since leaving college; it has allowed me to perfect my beauty skills in all areas and so much more..
I love that Julia is a fab boss and so encouraging that we do what we love. In this time, I have particularly enjoyed doing lashes, lash lifts & nails, although I love the great variety of treatments that I can offer and no day is the same..
The One Lounge team is like no other. A great group of gals who I regard as best friends for life.. I adore each and everyone of my clients; without you it wouldn't be possible and I cant wait to see everyone again!!
