Paula - Manager & Skin Practitioner
Paula has 24 years experience as a skin practitioner and has been at The One Lounge for 12 years now. She has a passion for advanced skin treatments and massage, and enjoys working with clients on challenging skin issues to give them back their confidence. Paula is our expert in Advanced Blemish Removal, if you are concerned about skin tags, moles or veins then she is the one to see. Paula is also an award winning massage therapist and constantly looks to advance her skills by taking courses in Deep Tissue, Myofascia and Oncology Massage.
Lorna - Hairdresser
Lorna has been a hairstylist for over 15 years, and part of the One Lounge Team since 2017. She loves being able to provide clients with a one-to-one experience from start to finish to create their hair goals. Her favourite styles to create are lived in colours and vivid coppers. Lorna also offers on-location styling for weddings, and is an expert in classy up-dos.
Lisa-Marie - Hairdresser
Lisa has been with us at The One Lounge since 2020, but her experience with hair styling and colouring goes far beyond that. Lisa takes great pride in her colour work, and is always looking for new ways to expand her knowledge and broaden her experience with different training courses. She specialises in big bouncy blow drys, but provides a wide range of services from gents haircuts to balayage.
Julia - Founder/Owner & Beauty Therapist/Skin Specialist
Julia is our wonderful founder of The One Lounge, and has been working in the beauty industry for over 20 years. She specialises in complete skin transformations, treating conditions like rosacea, acne, hyperpigmentation, aging and blemish removal. Julia always gives her clients 100% and likes to customise each client’s experience to make sure they leave feeling empowered and supported through their skin journey. This is something that shows through her client’s loyalties, with some of the same clients coming to Julia for skin services over the past 20 years.
Joanne - Beauty Therapist & Nail Technician
Joanne has been at The One Lounge since our opening in 2015. Joanne is qualified in a huge range or services including HD brows, lash lifts, and Lycon hot waxing, but her specialty is nails. She loves when clients bring in inspiration pictures or designs that challenge her, especially if they are something brightly coloured! Joanne has also qualified as a beauty lecturer, and one day would love to teach nails and waxing.
Gillian - Beauty Therapist, Skin & Massage Specialist
With 26 years in the beauty industry, Gillian is one of our most experienced therapists and has previously worked for Dermalogica as a business development consultant. Gillian loves to make clients feel comfortable in our relaxation space downstairs with candles and chilled music, and particularly enjoys performing our signature treatments. Gillian is also our waxing expert, and enjoys using Lycon hot wax for intimate waxing services. Cheryl W - Beauty Therapist, Skin & Laser Specialist
Cheryl W has been working in the beauty industry since 2009, first specialising in lashes and beauty, and broadening her skills to include laser hair removal and advanced skin services. You can normally find Cheryl downstairs in one of our treatment rooms doing waxing, lash extensions or facials. Cheryl is always proactive in boosting her knowledge by continuously learning and training. She recently became uniquely qualified in Buccal Massage to relieve jaw tension and pain, a treatment that can make a huge difference to the lives of people suffering from tension headaches and TMJ disorders.
Cheryl G - Beauty Therapist, Lash & Brow Artist
Cheryl G has been with The One Lounge team since qualifying in 2019, and loves to offer a wide variety or treatments including nails, massage, and body contouring treatments. Cheryl’s specialty is in brows and lashes, and loves to see the instant transformation that a good brow treatment can give her clients. Cheryl thrives in the salon environment when she can have a good chat and a catch up with clients, and also loves to meet and get to know new clients.
Jenna - Beauty Therapist & Nail Technician
Jenna is one of our most skilled beauty therapists, providing a wide range of services in waxing, nails, lashes and brows. She loves to keep on top of trends and train in the best products to get the best results. Jenna is a skilled nail artist, offering polishes designs from a classic French to bolder stripes or dots. Jenna is one of our busiest therapists, as she has some of the best, most loyal clients who come back to her regularly for their brow, waxing and nail maintenance.
Shannon - Makeup Artist & Beautician
Shannon is our most experienced makeup artist, and our nail art queen. From night-out glam, to natural daytime looks, Shannon always begins with a thorough consultation to make sure each client leaves with a stunning makeup look that they feel comfortable and confident in. She loves to work with expert brands like Charlotte Tilbury and Vieve to give you a flawless, long-lasting look. Shannon is also great at providing some of the most unique and creative nail sets, and her loyal clients always trust her to bring their visions to life.
Katie M - Hair Stylist & Colourist
Katie is our newest hairdresser at The One Lounge, but has 5 years experience working in the industry. She specialises in all things bespoke colour, cutting and styling. Katie loves making clients feel confident and good about themselves through their hair. She is a curly hair specialist, and the one to pick if you have wavy, curly or coily hair. Katie also offers children’s haircuts, and you just need to look at her reviews to see how appreciated her kindness and patience is during these appointments.
Lucy - Nail Artist & Tanner
Lucy is one of our newer staff members and started at The One Lounge in 2025 as a nail technician. She loves to use her creativity to provide elaborate nail art, and you will never catch her with plain nails. Lucy has also trained in spray tanning, a great service for Thursday evenings to get you ready for the weekend. She is also the face behind The One Lounge social media, so if she’s not at the nail bar then she is likely hiding in a treatment room filming or editing for Instagram or TikTok.
Katie T - Makeup Artist & Beautician
Katie has been working in beauty for 4 years now, and is one of our most proactive therapists when it comes to looking after the salon and advancing her own skills. Katie enjoys being creative both in and outside of work, so her favourite treatments to offer are nails and brow services. She has also recently trained in waxing, makeup and hair styling. Whether you are looking for a glamorous up-do or bouncy pin curls, Katie can offer everything you need to get you ready for a wedding or big night out.
